CAPE Community Class “Inglés y Arte sin Barreras” at the Orchid Show
CAPE Community Class “Inglés y Arte sin Barreras (English and Art without Barriers)” at Waters Elementary landed a sponsored trip to the Botanic Gardens’ Orchid Show in Chicago on March 23, 2023.

Class participants observed the many different designs and colors of orchids to inspire their artistic making in class.
Most recently the class has been learning the punch needle embroidering technique, through which they have been expressing their own choices of designs, including collaborative works. Their class focuses on art-making as much as learning languages, weaving English and Spanish into their learning experiences.
