CAPE Student Data Third Party Affiliate Confidentiality Disclosure
In the United States, three laws have been enacted to uphold student privacy and data security: the Family Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA), the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA).
CAPE utilizes organizationally private Google drives, documents and forms to maintain data on its students including CPS students. This data is protected through encryption services provided by Google. CAPE does not share this data, per the FERPA, COPPA and CIPA acts.
