CAPE’s Pioneer Family Art Night April 12, 2023 included artwork from students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade

Pioneer K-2 CAPE artists will be presenting and curating their work in a mini gallery they helped create.

The whole year our CAPE artists have been exploring the following questions:

 “ What is an artist?” and “What do artists do?”  

 Our answers are: We are artists and some artists curate shows. An art curator’s main duties consist of acquiring, collecting, and cataloging works of art, as well as ensuring their overall care. With these ideas in mind our CAPE artists will be presenting, curating and showing their work to their loved ones and the Pioneer community this upcoming family night at the school library.

Este año escolar los Artistas de CAPE han estado explorando las siguientes preguntas:

¿Qué es ser un artista?  ¿Qué hacen los artistas?

Nuestra respuesta es : Nosotros somos artistas y avances los artistas son curadores de arte. Un curador del arte se encaraga de adquirir, coleciona, y catalogar obras de arte. Con estas ideas los artistas de CAPE presentarán sus trabajos de arte como curadores para sus seres queridos y la comunidad de Pioneer esta noche de familia en la biblioteca.

Art House

As the school year comes to an end, our CAPE class reflects on the many types of skill sets and friendships that we’ve built through art and creation. To celebrate and honor these memories, our students have worked together to create a collaborative “art house” piece, which features a gallery installation of our favorite photos, sculptural and mixed media artwork, and memories that we’ve made together. As we continue to investigate how to make connections with our community and ourselves through art, we invite you to view some of our process photos, props, and costume pieces for our class’s movie project.

A medida que el año escolar llega a su fin, nuestra clase CAPE reflexiona sobre los muchos tipos de habilidades y amistades que hemos construido a través del arte y la creación. Para celebrar y honrar estos recuerdos, nuestros estudiantes han trabajado juntos para crear una pieza colaborativa de “casa de arte”, que presenta una instalación en la galería de nuestras fotos favoritas, obras de arte escultóricas y de medios mixtos, y recuerdos que hemos hecho juntos. A medida que continuamos investigando cómo hacer conexiones con nuestra comunidad y nosotros mismos a través del arte, los invitamos a ver algunas de nuestras fotos de proceso, accesorios y piezas de vestuario para el proyecto de película de nuestra clase.
