Full-Service Community Schools Zeroed Out by House Appropriations LHHS

 In After School Advocacy

From ACT Now:

On September 2nd, 2025, the House Appropriations Labor, Health, and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (LHHS) Subcommittee eliminated the Full-Service Community Schools (FSCS) grant from the FY26 budget in its education spending bill. The LHHS Subcommittee also slashed other education grants within Title I and Title II funding to the detriment of students and families nationwide. The bill passed out of the subcommittee and is expected to be reviewed by the full House Appropriations Committee in the coming days. This bill is a funding proposal and has not yet been passed by Congress or finalized.

Zeroing out the FSCS grant program is unacceptable. Take action TODAY in support of FSCS funding!
