Educators, please join us for a free series of special education high school professional development sessions that will provide innovative and practical strategies for approaching arts integration in special education classrooms.

All workshops will be held at:

Ray Graham Training Center High School
2347 S Wabash Ave, Chicago, IL 60616
from 4:30pm­ to 6:30pm

There will be a combination of discussion and hands-on art making that will cover the following topics:

March 16: ­ Student Self Awareness, Connecting with Community and Environment
Led by teachers Dara Sklare and Patricia Bonness

March 23: ­ Learning Job Skills Through Art Making
Led by teacher Katie Kurisch and teaching artist Brendan Meara

March 30: ­ Communication and Transition Goals
Led by teacher Laura Smith and teaching artist Chuck Jones

April 6: ­ ​Engaging Special Needs Students in Material Exploration and Multisensory Learning
Led by teaching artists Chuck Jones and Ellen Tritschler

These events are free and open to education professionals, and food and drinks will be provided. CPDUs are available. Please RSVP using the form below.
