Artist Statement:
Dance comes from within and is accessible to all; an opportunity for connection and communication. As someone who was in ballet class even before preschool, movement is how I interpret the world around me.
Increasingly I find myself drawing on a catalogue of technique and experience to help my students tap into their own body awareness and curiosity as a means to focus on their movements. All that being said, I am inspired by my students more than anything. For me, learning and teaching are about a relationship. I am a willing participant and grateful recipient of the impact my students have on me.
