Show your support for our Teaching Artists!

CAPE would not exist without its teaching artists. These professionals are integral to our work in hundreds of public school classrooms and community spaces around the city. During these extraordinary times, we are committing almost $100,000 from CAPE’s organizational reserve fund to compensate teaching artists on our roster who are losing instructional time and hourly wages due to school closures.

“This is our rainy day fund, and the rainy day has come.” -Amy Rasmussen, CAPE Executive Director

If you’d like to show your appreciation for our artists’ dedication to Chicago’s young people, families, and communities, you can donate to CAPE today. These artists will be compensated from our reserve fund; your contribution today will help to sustain CAPE’s work as we all move forward together. Please consider making your donation a recurring one if it’s within your capacity to do so. Your committed support will make a huge difference in the difficult weeks, and potentially months, to come.
