CAPE celebrates projects by resident artists of WORKROOM 2025!
Between July 1 and August 30, CAPE has been transformed into a shared studio space by this year’s WORKROOM resident artists.
Everyone is invited to gather at CAPE in Bridgeport to mingle with the artists, and engage through various art activities:
- Interact with Lisa Sikorski’s weaving loom in a mini-workshop. Scandinavian cordage-making requires two people—bring a friend!
- Experiment with ink and colored liquids through a video projection, with Fiorella Gomez Bermudez and Amelia Cintula.
- Create an exquisite corpse (a collaborative artwork) using photos and drawings, with Laura Sáenz.
- Use neon ropes to physically connect ideas and concepts, creating a visual web throughout the gallery, with Jessica Mueller.
- Learn more about Ayako Kato’s audiovisual process with dance and movement.
- Love CAPE? Bring your own garment to print with the CAPE logo. No screen-printing experience needed, Jessica Mueller will show you how!
2025 residents: Annamarie Castellucci, Arturo Barrera, Ayako Kato, Emilie Robinson, Fay Jenson, Fiorella Gomez Bermudez and Amelia Cintula, Jessica Mueller, Kitty Conde, Laura Sáenz, Lisa Sikorski, Niema Qureshi and Betsy Zacsek, and Tony Collins.
