Why are the arts important in Chicago Public Schools? Visit CAPE and we’ll show you!

When you visit CAPE, we’ll take you on a “Field Trip” of our work to show you how CAPE engages students, inspires teachers, transforms schools, and demonstrates impact all across the City! Our Field Trips last one hour and generally take you around our office and gallery at 228 S. Wabash, Suite 500; some Field Trips take place offsite at the homes and offices of CAPE ambassadors.

If you’re interested in attending one of our field trips, please contact Michelle Arnson at michelle@capechicago.org !

The CAPE Field Trip Features:

  • Stories from CAPE teachers, teaching artists, and students that reveal how CAPE has shaped their work, lives, and communities
  • CAPE’s Executive Director, Amy Rasmussen, sharing her passion and our plans for the future
  • Other members of the CAPE staff and Board of Directors to guide you around our space
  • Light refreshments
  • A promise that you will NOT be asked for a donation
